Salacoa Creek RV Park in Ranger Georgia

Salacoa Creek RV Park

There is a small little gem of an RV Park in Gordon County Georgia. In a small town called Ranger. Ranger Georgia is home of the Salacoa Creek Park and if you are looking for a nice place to car camp, van camp or rv camp, you have come to the right place.

Salacoa Creek Park is a 364 acre recreational area consisting of 32 RV sites, 25 primitive camping sites, restrooms, 126 acre lake, swimming and beach area, 2 playgrounds, picnic pavilion, boat launch area, and a 1.5 mile nature trail. But the description doesn’t do it justice. The 126 acre lake is absolutely the gem here and if you like a morning paddle, (stand up or kayak) this will offer you a peacefulness you richly deserve. The Park is open from the first weekend in April to the first weekend in November. It seems there is always an open spot to camp, but always better to make reservations first. Tent camping: $11.00 per night per site and RV camping is $18.00 a night that includes 30 amp service and water hookup. There is a dump station on the way out.

Nice to sit and watch the sunset at Salacoa Creek Park

Boat and Kayak rentals are available also for $10.00 for 5 hours. As far as the rest of the amenities at Salacoa Creek Park, they have very clean bathrooms, showers, (hot) and a really nice playground for the kiddies.

We did a complete review here on Campendium We would caution that ALL the RV sites are NOT the same and some are more level than others.

Our first night full timing was spent here, and although not everything ran smoothly with the Airstream (see video below), we really enjoyed our stay here and the Camphost was really nice.

If you are looking to Car Camp, or Van Camp, we would totally recommend Salacoa Creek Park. Lot’s to do in the Summer. If you have a big RV, not sure since it’s hard to tell what site measures what. We were fortunate that our 28 foot Argosy fit on site number 27 but other site’s it may not have fit.

Would we stay here again? Absolutely!
